About NEXT Service Design Conference
NEXT Service Design is the European conference for designing digital services. Its focus are design methods including design thinking, user-centric design and interaction design. It attracts individuals, who share the same goal: Creating innovative digital services and extraordinary customer experiences.
At the first NEXT SD event in October 2012, brands, agencies, designers and leading experts from academia from all around Europe discussed the future of digital services. In inspiring talks and hands-on workshops, they shared insights and presented innovative projects, the best cases as well as state-of-the-art approaches. A great opportunity to connect with thought-leaders, experts and the most creative minds of the Service Design industry.

At NEXT Service Design, Matt Edgar talked about the evolution of smartphones, our very special relationship to them and told their story: the early years from conception to infancy.
Programme
The conference programme will consist of inspiring keynotes, panel discussions and hands-on workshops. Detailed information will be given within the next weeks. The programme for the main stage is already up.
Blundstone Osterberger (SinnerSchrader) and Peter Bihr (freelance Digital strategist) are the curators of the conference.
Blundstone is Managing Director of the Hamburg-based digital agency SinnerSchrader. Before this, he managed the London office of the international design and consulting firm Method, worked at HUGE Inc, Wunderman/Y&R Brands and Digitas. He has supervised various projects for key accounts in the field of strategic innovation, digital retail, service design and design thinking as methods for developing new markets and business strategies.
Peter Bihr is a freelance Digital Strategist and he has been a curator for NEXT Berlin since 2011. In addition, he regularly organises future-oriented events like the Cognitive Cities Conference, Ignite Berlin and TEDxKreuzberg.

Location
NEXT Service Design takes place at Alte Münze Berlin - a venue centrally located in the heart of Berlin, close to Alexanderplatz. What used to be a mint for more than 60 years, is now one of the German capital’s coolest event locations. At Alte Münze, history meets design, art and media. Its rough industrial look creates a unique ambience, which various brands have used for events, e.g. JS Conf, Red Dot Design Award, Levi’s and Calvin Klein.
